Netskope's launch of its

The newly launched Netskope One DLP On Demand offers critical insights for chief information security officers (CISOs). This new solution enhances unified data protection capabilities, addressing the growing complexities of data management across various environments.

Key features

  1. Unified data security: Netskope’s solution integrates Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) into a single platform. This consolidation allows organisations to manage data in use, in motion, and at rest more effectively, eliminating the need for disparate systems that can lead to inefficiencies and security gaps.
  2. Extensive data classifiers: The platform provides access to over 3,000 data identifiers and classifications, supporting more than 2,100 file types. This extensive coverage is crucial for organisations that need to comply with various global data protection regulations.
  3. Advanced machine learning capabilities: With more than 26 machine learning classifiers and features like ‘train your own classifier’, the solution empowers organisations to tailor their data protection strategies to specific needs, enhancing the accuracy of data detection and classification.
  4. Compliance support: Netskope One DLP On Demand includes over 40 compliance templates, helping organisations navigate the complex landscape of data protection regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.

The importance of integration and consolidation

Jennifer Glenn

Jennifer Glenn, research director at IDC, highlights that “integration and consolidation are key drivers for enterprise buyers” as they seek to address current and future risks associated with data security. The ability to embed DLP within third-party SaaS offerings further enhances the flexibility and effectiveness of data protection strategies.

Addressing the challenges of digital transformation

As organisations increasingly adopt AI technologies and digital transformation initiatives, the vulnerabilities associated with enterprise data become more pronounced. CISOs must ensure that their data protection solutions are robust enough to handle these challenges.

Netskope’s approach to unified data security not only simplifies management but also enhances operational efficiencies, allowing organisations to focus on strategic initiatives rather than being bogged down by fragmented security measures.

By leveraging unified security solutions that integrate advanced machine learning and compliance support, organisations can better safeguard their data assets in an increasingly complex digital landscape.
