As organisations face increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, the task of restoring data is only part of the challenge. Security teams often struggle with the restoration of the distributed cloud applications necessary to leverage that data effectively.

Companies typically utilise around 371 cloud applications across various services, and after an attack, they frequently cannot resume normal operations until these applications are systematically rebuilt—a process that can take over a week, according to Commvault’s research.

By prioritising openness and flexibility, Exabeam’s New-Scale Platform allows SOC teams to create automations and playbooks that seamlessly integrate with a multitude of best-of-breed products. Chris O’Malley, Exabeam CEO, stated, “This quarterly release demonstrates our commitment to driving transformative change in how security teams operate. Today’s launch is not just an incremental improvement; it’s a significant shift in empowering CISOs and their teams to stay ahead of evolving threats.”

Steve Wilson, Chief Product Officer at Exabeam, remarked, “For too long, security teams have been forced to work within walled gardens. With our unified, open ecosystem, users can take control, integrate the best tools, and customise their security operations without the limitations of traditional platforms. The era of truly open security operations is here.”

Enhanced Features for the New-Scale Platform

  • Breakthrough Risk Scoring: The new New-Scale Analytics feature learns over time, applying business factors to risk scoring. This reduces noise and provides a comprehensive view of threats.
  • Unified Threat Detection and Response: Threat Center now serves as the analyst workbench, improving SOC productivity with concise threat summaries and automated investigation timelines.
  • Accelerated Threat Triage: Streamlined detection grouping allows analysts to quickly assess and address threats, consolidating all relevant information in one view.
  • Partner-Centric Open Platform: New-Scale Analytics operates independently, supporting a variety of security tools without vendor lock-in. Recent integrations, such as with Wiz, enhance threat detection capabilities.

Industry Impact

Sebastian Bittig, Director of Cyber Defense at r-tec IT Security GmbH, said, “The Open API approach has redefined our SOC functions. Exabeam’s seamless integration with our existing tools has unlocked unparalleled visibility, allowing us to focus on preventing threats before they escalate.”

Lindbergh Caldeira, Cyber Security Operations Manager at SA Power Networks, added, “Exabeam’s commitment to innovation accelerates workflows and improves outcomes for our SOC, enabling us to effectively combat today’s sophisticated threats.”

Grant Leonard, Field CISO at Lumifi, highlighted the importance of this innovation, stating, “The introduction of the Open API Standard sets a new benchmark for interoperability and flexibility, helping our customers stay ahead of threats.”

With its groundbreaking Open API compatibility, Exabeam is poised to lead the charge in redefining security operations, empowering organisations to navigate the complexities of modern cyber threats effectively.
