Zscaler and Okta announced four new integrations aimed at bolstering zero trust security for their mutual customers. The enhancements focus on delivering end-to-end, context-aware security to reduce risks, improve user experiences, and facilitate cross-domain responses through shared threat intelligence.
Amit Raikar, Vice President of Technology Alliances and Business Development at Zscaler, emphasized the importance of these integrations: “The integrations announced today significantly deepen our collaboration with Okta and our commitment to keeping our customers secure. Together, we are focused on helping customers strengthen their zero trust security posture in an increasingly complex risk environment.”
Stephen Lee, Vice President of Technical Strategy and Partnerships at Okta, highlighted the necessity of integrated security solutions: “In the AI era, the only way to effectively protect customers is by rallying the security ecosystem. Point security solutions address individual areas but don’t integrate, which increases complexity.” He reiterated the commitment to enhancing the security posture of their mutual customers globally.
The new integrations include:
- Adaptive Access Policy Enforcement: This feature allows organizations to enforce context-based access policies that adapt to user risk levels. It builds on previous integrations, exchanging risk telemetry between Zscaler and Okta to enhance threat detection and response.
- Dynamic Step-Up Authentication: Zscaler can trigger additional authentication measures via Okta when risky user behavior is detected, adding an extra security layer before granting access to sensitive resources.
- Security Data Contextualization and Unified Vulnerability Management: Zscaler’s Data Fabric aggregates data from Okta, providing real-time insights into vulnerabilities and enhancing security remediation efforts through a user-friendly dashboard.
- Zero Trust Partner Access: Zscaler’s platform allows secure, agentless access to web applications for external users, complemented by Okta’s identity and access management solutions for streamlined user management.
These integrations aim to simplify security measures while addressing the complexities of remote work and hybrid IT environments.
