PT ITSEC Asia Tbk, a cybersecurity firm based in Indonesia, has launched the National Cyber Resilience Program (Gerakan Nasional Ketahanan Siber) in collaboration with the Indonesian Digitalization and Cybersecurity Association (ADIGSI). This groundbreaking initiative aims to fortify Indonesia’s cyber resilience by enhancing the cybersecurity readiness of organisations throughout the nation.
The programme is set to run over a six-month period in 2026 and will include practical training and simulations aimed at bolstering organisational resilience.
With an expected reach of more than 1,000 participants, the initiative will target cybersecurity practitioners at operational levels as well as senior leaders from government institutions, state-owned enterprises, and private-sector organisations.
“Cyber resilience today is no longer just a technology challenge; it is a leadership and governance issue,” noted Patrick Dannacher, president director of ITSEC.
This sentiment highlights a shift in focus—recognising that effective cybersecurity cannot solely rest on technical capabilities but must also penetrate executive-level decision-making. The programme aspires to bridge operational readiness with strategic oversight, embedding cybersecurity into the core of organisational leadership.
Slamet Aji Pamungkas, deputy IV of Indonesia's National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), emphasized the necessity for strong cross-sector collaboration to enhance national cyber resilience. “ADIGSI, as a strategic government partner, will ensure that the national cyber resilience agenda is effectively communicated and implemented within the industrial sector,” he stated.
The structure of the National Cyber Resilience Program includes offline and hybrid workshops, case-based discussions, and simulation exercises that focus on practical cybersecurity awareness and preparedness. Special attention will be given to IT and security managers, operational leaders, and compliance teams whose organisations are experiencing increased digital exposure.
In parallel, a Cyber Champion Leadership Program will elevate cyber risk management to executive levels through invitation-only workshops and closed-door roundtables, targeting 50 to 100 senior leaders. This component aims to foster stronger ownership of cyber governance at the highest levels.
Additionally, ITSEC has unveiled a new corporate logo and tagline, “Cybersecurity Delivered,” highlighting its commitment to providing measurable outcomes in cybersecurity rather than mere solutions. This brand refresh aligns with ITSEC’s growth as a publicly listed entity and reflects its dedication to operational impact across various sectors, including government and financial services.
As Indonesia advances its cyber resilience agenda, CISOs and cybersecurity professionals will need to engage actively with this initiative to safeguard their organisations against evolving threats.
