As the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region faces increasing cybersecurity challenges, government organisations and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) must navigate stringent data residency and compliance requirements. Recognising this need, Arete and SentinelOne recently launched an on-premises deployment solution tailored for the public sector, designed to enhance security while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

This innovative deployment model allows SentinelOne’s AI-driven detection and response capabilities to function within sensitive environments, providing robust security without compromising effectiveness.

Government organisations often grapple with the dual challenge of protecting sensitive data and adhering to strict regulations regarding where that data resides. With this new solution, agencies can maintain full control over their data while achieving timely threat detection and remediation.

Arete’s president of APAC, Raj Sivaraju, says “This new solution allows Arete and SentinelOne to support sovereign and regulated security deployments while delivering strong security outcomes in high-security environments.”

This approach positions government entities to balance effective cybersecurity with the demands of stringent data privacy regulations, ensuring they can respond effectively to threats while remaining compliant.

The deployment model has been specifically tested and validated in Arete’s in-house lab, ensuring that it meets the intricate regulatory and sovereignty requirements specific to the APAC region. The solution guarantees consistent visibility and responsive protection, essential in high-security environments where threats can escalate rapidly.

“Cybersecurity in high-security and government environments requires trusted, compliant, and AI-driven security operations,” adds Kris Day, SVP of sales APJ at SentinelOne. He highlighted that their collaboration enables organisations in the APAC region to bolster their defences while achieving compliance with necessary regulations.

Furthermore, the solution seamlessly integrates with existing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, allowing for secure sharing of security telemetry. This integration supports established workflows within government and public sector organisations, thereby enhancing operational efficiency while adhering to compliance mandates.
