On 27 February 2025, Exclusive Networks announced the launch of its managed security operations centre (SOC) as a Service in collaboration with Palo Alto Networks. This initiative aims to meet the rising demand for managed security services in Southeast Asia, a region increasingly prioritising cybersecurity amid growing threats.

The Managed SOC as a Service addresses the challenges faced by many organisations in Southeast Asia, where diverse markets encounter distinct cybersecurity issues. According to industry reports, over 70% of IT leaders globally plan to increase their spending on managed security services in 2024. The region is expected to witness a substantial rise in cybersecurity investments, driven by the sophistication of cybercriminal tactics and the urgent need for robust security solutions across various sectors, including financial services, healthcare, and manufacturing.

A pressing issue in Southeast Asia is the shortage of skilled cybersecurity professionals. By 2025, the global deficit is projected to reach 8 million, with Singapore alone facing a shortfall of nearly 4,000 cybersecurity roles. Malaysia aims to fill 12,000 positions, while 80% of organisations in the Philippines report heightened risks due to inadequate cybersecurity expertise. This talent gap underscores the importance of effective managed security services to help organisations navigate the complex landscape of cyber threats.

Building a security operations centre from the ground up can take up to four years and require substantial investment in infrastructure and skilled personnel. Many small to medium-sized cybersecurity service providers lack the resources to maintain a 24/7 SOC, making it difficult to scale their operations. The complexities of integrating various technologies can also dilute brand reputation and erode customer trust, particularly in digital markets like Singapore.

The Managed SOC as a Service seeks to lower these barriers, allowing cybersecurity SMEs to provide enhanced services without the burden of extensive investment or expertise. By leveraging the capabilities of both Exclusive Networks and Palo Alto Networks, partners can effectively manage security operations while focusing on their core business activities.

The service promises to deliver advanced Zero Trust-based protection and AI-driven threat detection, ensuring continuous monitoring and rapid response to security incidents. With experienced analysts staffing the SOC, partners can expect predictable costs and relief from infrastructure management challenges. This model not only enhances operational efficiency but also strengthens customer relationships through improved security processes.

As the cybersecurity landscape in Asia transitions from a reactive to a proactive stance, this partnership aims to drive growth and resilience in the region. The Managed SOC as a Service is positioned to empower organisations to navigate the evolving threats effectively, providing them with the tools necessary to achieve digital transformation while safeguarding sensitive data.

This collaboration represents a significant step towards addressing the pressing cybersecurity needs of Southeast Asia, enabling businesses to thrive amidst an increasingly complex threat environment.
