Veritas Technologies has announced new AI-powered capabilities aimed at simplifying and accelerating cyber recovery processes. These enhancements to the Veritas cyber resilience portfolio are designed to assist data protection specialists and IT professionals by providing intelligent, user-friendly tools that eliminate uncertainty during recovery efforts.

Geoffrey Coley, regional CTO for Asia Pacific at Veritas, emphasised the growing complexity of data security challenges faced by IT teams. “In the current macro landscape, data security is becoming increasingly complex, and IT teams are under mounting pressure to ensure that data is always available, with only limited resources,” he said. Coley highlighted that the new capabilities aim to make recovery “simpler, smarter, and faster,” enabling organisations to recover from ransomware attacks swiftly and confidently, thereby minimising business disruptions.

Key features include:

User-Friendly Interface: The Veritas Alta View platform introduces a more intuitive user interface that streamlines navigation and operations. It integrates AI-driven insights and a cyber risk score to provide real-time, actionable analytics, allowing users to monitor their data estate and manage risks effectively.

Automated Asset Audits: Veritas Alta Copilot can automatically scan for unprotected assets, recommend tailored protection measures, and integrate with existing policies, ensuring comprehensive coverage of critical data.

Accelerated Threat Detection: Enhanced security measures improve threat detection capabilities through hash-based tracking of malware, significantly reducing the time required to scan and assess malware spread across backup data.

Automated Recovery Blueprints: Organisations can utilise a new interactive guide to create, automate, test, and modify disaster recovery workflows. These blueprints can be customised across various environments, allowing for effective risk management tailored to individual organisational needs.
