Nutanix announced new features in the Nutanix Cloud Platform to strengthen organisations’ resilience againstransomware attacks on unstructured data enabling better threat detection, damage defense, and a 1-click recovery process within 20 minutes of exposure.

New capabilities

Nutanix Data Lens is a SaaS-based data security solution that identifies malicious activities and audits user behaviors. I can also assess and mitigate unstructured data security and compliance risks.

· Ransomware Detection and blocking within 20 minutes: Detection and automated response block cyber attacks, and minimises the overall impact of ransomware, providing extra security to protect unstructured data, and reducing data damage.

· Ransomware 1-click recovery: It can identify and automatically recover the last known good snapshot giving customers the option to leverage an automated or a manual, guided recovery which restores normal operations.

· Permission visibility and risk visualisation: It provides complex permission structures, and audit configurations, and better assesses risks. This ensures that data access is aligned with business needs, minimising data loss, supporting regulatory compliance, and reducing the impact of cyber attacks.

Thomas Cornely

“With these new ransomware detection and recovery features, the Nutanix Cloud Platform provides built-in ransomware protection, data visibility, and automated data governance for Nutanix Files and Objects across clouds to simplify data protection and strengthen an organisation’s cyber resilience posture,” said Thomas Cornely, SVP, Product Management at Nutanix.
