As businesses increasingly adopt AI agents that can interact with sensitive data, the need for robust oversight has become apparent. These AI agents are often capable of sharing confidential information, overriding internal policies, and making unsanctioned changes without proper authorisation, creating significant security risks. In response to this challenge,

Exabeam's latest release provides a unified platform that centralises the monitoring of AI agent activities and evaluates associated security risks.

“Securing AI usage goes beyond traditional safeguards,” explained Steve Wilson, Exabeam's chief AI and product officer. “It requires a deep understanding of normal agent behaviour and the ability to identify any risky deviations. Our solution empowers security teams with actionable insights, enabling them to react swiftly to potential threats.”

The integration with Google Gemini Enterprise allows organisations to detect AI agents' behaviour patterns for the first time, revolutionising the way businesses approach security. Exabeam’s new features include capabilities to assess and track security maturity, offering tailored recommendations, and enabling companies to model emerging agent behaviours accurately.

Pete Harteveld, CEO of Exabeam, emphasised the importance of responsible AI governance, stating, “Executives need clear visibility into AI agent behaviour to determine if their security posture can manage the risks of adoption.”

Exabeam claims the Connected System for AI Agent Behavior Analytics and AI Security Posture Insight equips organisations with insights that bolster their defences against evolving, AI-driven threats.

The launch signals a pivotal shift in recognising that conventional security tools may not suffice in managing AI’s rapidly evolving landscape. Analysts predict that oversight of AI agents will emerge as a critical security category alongside identity and cloud protection by 2026.

As organisations continue to integrate AI into their operations, Exabeam’s Connected System positions the company as a leader in AI agent behaviour analytics, enhancing the ability to safely harness AI's vast potential while safeguarding against its risks.
