As the cybersecurity landscape evolves, the ability to adapt and innovate will be crucial for organisations looking to safeguard their operations against an array of threats.

Exabeam has unveiled its New-Scale Security Operations Platform, marking the first instance of a security operations platform fully compatible with the Open API Standard (OAS). This innovative approach aims to enhance flexibility and integration, allowing security operations centres (SOCs) to streamline their processes and improve response times.

As organisations increasingly face sophisticated cyber threats, the need for agile and responsive security solutions has never been more pressing. Exabeam’s latest offering promises to eliminate the traditional barriers associated with disjointed security information and event management (SIEM) systems. By integrating seamlessly with thousands of OAS-compatible products, the New-Scale Platform enables security teams to quickly develop automations and playbooks, reducing deployment times from hours to mere minutes.

Chrisropher O’Malley, CEO of Exabeam, emphasised that the introduction of OAS compatibility represents not just an incremental improvement, but a significant shift in empowering chief information security officers (CISOs) and their teams to remain ahead of evolving threats.

The platform’s enhancements extend to its analytics capabilities, featuring New-Scale Analytics, which improves threat detection by learning over time and applying business-specific factors to risk scoring. This results in reduced noise and a more accurate threat landscape, which is crucial for SOC analysts who must contend with an overwhelming volume of alerts.

“For too long, security teams have been forced to work within walled gardens,” declared Steve Wilson, chief product officer at Exabeam. He believes that the new unified ecosystem facilitates the integration of best-in-class security tools, enabling users to customise their operations without the constraints of traditional models.
