CrowdStrike has unveiled significant enhancements to its Falcon Exposure Management platform, introducing a new Network Vulnerability Assessment capability designed to modernise vulnerability management in the cybersecurity landscape. This innovation aims to consolidate security operations by eliminating outdated tools and offering real-time assessments without the need for additional scanners, agents, or hardware.

Addressing modern cyber threats

As cyber adversaries become increasingly sophisticated, traditional vulnerability management tools often fall short. The 2025 CrowdStrike Global Threat Report highlights a concerning trend: attackers are now exploiting multiple low to medium vulnerabilities in succession to escalate privileges and execute remote code. Legacy solutions, reliant on static CVSS scores and external threat feeds, struggle to provide the contextual awareness necessary to prioritise risks effectively.

Elia Zaitsev

“For too long, organisations have had to rely on hardware-dependent solutions with outdated risk models. With Falcon, everything is built in natively, allowing teams to extend adversary-based risk mitigation to network devices with a single click.” Elia Zaitsev, CTO, CrowdStrike

Key features of the network vulnerability assessment

  1. Real-Time, Continuous Assessments: The Falcon platform utilises its existing lightweight agent as a network scanner, enabling instant visibility into both managed and unmanaged devices. This approach eliminates the reliance on outdated tools that create security blind spots, providing continuous assessments without operational disruption.
  2. AI-Driven Risk Prioritisation: CrowdStrike's patented ExPRT.AI technology identifies the 5% of vulnerabilities responsible for 95% of risk. By analysing adversary behaviour and real-world threat intelligence, organisations can focus their resources on the most critical vulnerabilities.
  3. Cross-Domain Exposure Management: The platform offers a unified view of exposures across endpoints, cloud workloads, IT/IoT, and network assets. This holistic approach allows security teams to anticipate adversary behaviour and effectively harden high-risk areas.
  4. Automated Remediation: Integrated with Falcon Fusion SOAR, this capability automates remediation processes, allowing teams to address vulnerabilities proactively and eliminate risks before they can be exploited.

Free scanning and consolidation benefits

CrowdStrike’s commitment to cybersecurity consolidation is further illustrated by offering free scanning for up to 10% of assets. This allows organisations to experience the benefits of the Falcon platform without upfront costs or complex setup processes.
