To tackle the complexities of cybersecurity, Check Point Software Technologies has announced the launch of six new AI-powered capabilities for its Infinity Platform. This initiative aims to bolster unified security management, enhance threat prevention, and pave the way for autonomous zero trust across digital environments.
With cyber-attacks rising by 44% year-on-year, security teams are under increasing pressure to protect their organisations. Nataly Kremer, chief product officer at Check Point, highlighted the urgent need for streamlined security operations.
“We live in a hyperconnected, digital world with new cyber threats emerging every day,” she stated. “Security teams are struggling to adequately prevent cyber-attacks due to complex and siloed security solutions. Our new AI innovations cut down complexity and strengthen the Unified Security Management capabilities of the Infinity Platform.”
The existing siloed security approach often leaves IT teams juggling multiple systems designed for specific protections across networks, endpoints, emails, and cloud environments. This fragmentation results in operational challenges, inconsistent policies, and potential security gaps. By integrating their new technologies, Check Point aims to alleviate these burdens.
Among the new features is Unified Identity & Policy, which utilises AI and identity awareness to enforce more precise security policies, ensuring that only authorised users access critical resources. This is complemented by Quantum Policy Insights, which analyses current policies and recommends adjustments to enhance security posture while enforcing a zero trust framework.
Another significant addition is the Infinity Identity service, which centralises identity management across the platform and integrates with third-party providers like Microsoft Defender and Intune. This enhancement is expected to streamline collaboration among various security tools, reducing the risk of human error.
Collaborative threat prevention employs AI to identify and block threats in real-time, further mitigating risks. The infinity playblocks feature offers a suite of over 100 pre-configured security playbooks, allowing enterprises to automate threat prevention and response effortlessly.
Kremer emphasised the goal of operational simplicity, stating, “AI-based insights can minimise tedious, error-prone work to streamline operations across the entire security stack.” This is exemplified by Infinity AIOps, which proactively monitors gateways to preemptively mitigate failures.
As organisations grapple with the evolving threat landscape, Check Point’s latest innovations promise to redefine the cybersecurity management process, making it more efficient and effective in the face of growing challenges.
